Pasig River - So clean.

Roxas Boulevard before.

Ayala Ave.

Cars before. The streets were shiny. No trash anywhere. No double parking allowed. You can imagine no traffic and everyone just gave way.

What happened now? We were called, “The most beautiful city in Asia” and “Paris of Asia” Look at what has changed. Sayang lang talaga.

More info? Click here.

We were so beautiful.

Like Paris: A snapshot of Manila in the 1960s

Some say that in the olden days, our own Manila was comparable a beauty as the enigmatic French capital, Paris. The photograph above shows a barely recognizable view of the area of the Manila City Hall and old Congress Building (National Museum today) back how it was in the ’60s.

But whether Manila could stand up against the City of Lights, or not, it surely held its own allure as a truly eclectic oriental city that boasted Spanish and American influences in architecture, arts and culture in a vibrant, hodge-podge way of life that is uniquely Filipino.

Hay pag-ibig. Minsan talaga isang malaking putang ina.

Palagi naman ganyan ang pagibig eh. Kaso lahat yan nabbase kung kaya ng isang couple ayusin lahat at pagusapan. Hindi naman kelangang ganyan nalang palagi eh. Nasa communication ng isang couple yan.
